I started using the site for creating graphic images for my website. Glogster is mostly marketed to educators and is great for creating materials with a little more visual appeal. So often, genealogy can be just dates and data, but Glogster allows us the opportunity to bring some color to the hobby.

One of my favorite aspects of Glogster is that you don’t have to have technical skills or artistic skills. It’s so easy to use. You can pick from available backgrounds and graphic design boxes to use with many unique fonts. Most of the features are simply drag and drop.
Below is a tree that I created in a few minutes with the Glogster application tool. You can tailor each ancestor by typing in the their surname, birth, and location. If you aren’t interested in my template, you can also create your own! If you are a teacher or a student, then the license is free.
