Hello, friends out there!
Let’s start out by having me give a description of blog expectations and how the blog is different from Root Pursuit the genealogy website. As the creator of Root Pursuit, I am creating this blog so I can give all of those viewers a chance to get to know me on a personal level. Dually, this helps me by promoting my personal brand while also letting me express my creativity through writing.
Some of my blog posts may have zero to do with genealogy. It turns out I have a boatload of interests other than genealogy. Some may see me as scattered or say that my interests are all over the place, but there are in fact a few strings that tie all of my interests together.
- I am curious about lots of things. I love learning. I am always trying to learn new skills.
- I love working on projects to achieve goals.
- I am obsessed with efficiency and productivity.
- If I am spending my time on something, I want there to be some tangible result.
If you tie all this together with all of the things I have actually achieved so far, I feel pretty proud of the results. In general, I am NOT going to like a job where I am working on the same thing day in and day out. That’s one reason I ended up in Tech, there is always something new to learn and a better way to get to the same goal. It’s an endless learning game, and I like the process.
